Abstract
Children occasionally
expose to traumas because of activity, defenseless, deficiency in supervision and observation of their parents.
Aims of this
study are the definition of frequency and types of childhood traumas and age and gender profile of victims, the research to
correlation between type of traumas and event time, and the evaluate to degree of damages caused by traumas among applied
to Emergency Service of Celal Bayar University Hospital at 2006.
In retrospective
evaluation of documents in archive of Celal Bayar University Hospital, 557 childhood traumas were defined in 2006 years. Fifty
eight percent of them (n=323) were male and forty two percent (n=234) were female. The mostly of cases (32.6 %, n=148) was
3-5 age group.
We suggested that the results of this study
applied for the definition of childhood traumas would be supply the important contributions to studies about prevent of childhood
traumas.
