ABSTRACT
Penetrating injuries of subclavian artery
generally occur by firearms while lesions of subclavian artery due to knife injury are seen rarely. The traumatic pseudo-aneurisms
of subclavian artery are rare situations, too.
In this article, a case who had exposed numerous
knife injuries and had developed gigantic pseudo-aneurysm following subclavian artery injury was submitted because of the
presence of limited number of cases of subclavian artery pseudo-aneurysm in literature and it was the first presentation of
it in Turkish forensic medicine literature.
This case was evaluated with aspects of presence
or absence of life-threatening situation, whether neither healing nor not healing in his injury with simple medical treatment,
and presence or absence of weakness or losses in his organ functions on the side of clinical and radiological findings of
subclavian artery pseudo-aneurysm.
Keywords: subclavian
artery, aneurysm-false, forensic medicine.
