ABSTRACT
In Turkey, forensic medicine applications have been performed by practitioners
working in primary care centers or hospitals because of lacking of the forensic medicine specialists in numbers. The practitioner
is obliged to examine and to prepare the report of the forensic case, to inform the govern-mental offices and to give expertise
when needed.
Due to the insufficiency of forensic medicine education in medical schools,
even graduated students can not perform forensic medical applications effectively. This generally results as avoiding arranging
forensic reports.
This review aim to define the forensic case, to determine important points of
the examination, arrangement: of the report and to evaluate the duties and responsibilities of the primary care doctor in
forensic medical applications.
