Narcolepsy is a syndrome of unknown etiology characterized by sleep attacks,
cataplexy, sleep paralysis and hypnagogic as well as hypnopompic hallucinations. in the present paper, narcolepsy, in the
framework of a divorce case, is discussed in order to clarify the following questions: presence of the disorder long before
marriage, existence of a possible life-threatening danger for the child and possibility of a complete management of the disease.
Narcolepsy, apart from being a rare disorder, poses a peculiar problem as a matter for a divorce case.
